We are currently seeking a seasoned professional to join our Fund Services team in the capacity of Assistant Vice President – Hedge Fund Accounting. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Client Service Managers to support the administration of Alternative Investment Funds (Category III – AIFs) registered with IFSCA.
Candidates should possess at least 9 years of relevant experience in AIF administration, including fund accounting, valuations, and NAV computations in alignment with SEBI and IFSCA guidelines. A strong understanding of performance fee calculations based on series and equalization accounting is essential.
📌 Reporting Line: This position reports directly to the VP – Hedge Fund Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily workflow planning, scheduling, and delivery of client requirements
- Review and prepare daily/monthly NAVs for Category III AIFs
- Perform and reconcile cash, position, and market value activities; resolve discrepancies promptly
- Review portfolio pricing in accordance with SEBI/IFSCA regulations and assess any exceptions
- Ensure accurate booking and reconciliation of corporate actions
- Accrue and amortize non-security related fees, including management and financing expenses
- Process manual transactions including OTC derivatives and associated cash flows
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide reports, estimates, NAVs, and resolve queries
- Book capital activity and finalize month-end NAVs along with investor-level allocation reports
- Support audit processes and the preparation of financial statements
- Assist in compliance with IFSCA regulatory obligations
- Participate in internal projects such as automation initiatives and process migrations
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, pricing teams, and client services
- Monitor deliverables to ensure adherence to SLAs and high-quality standards
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Alternative Investment Funds (Category III) and domestic mutual funds
- Strong grasp of asset class valuation: equities, derivatives, fixed income, and unlisted securities
- Hands-on experience with performance fee calculations and series/equalization methodologies
- Educational qualifications: M.Com, CA, MBA (Finance), or CFA preferred
- Familiarity with Paxus is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in general ledger systems and advanced MS Excel functions
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Willingness to work extended hours when needed
- Proven leadership abilities in team management and development
