Join our Regulatory Services Reporting & Analytics team as a Data Scientist Associate Senior and help shape the future of data-driven decision making at JPMorgan Chase.
As a Data Scientist Senior Associate in Regulatory Services Reporting & Analytics team, you will spearhead data-driven initiatives by designing and implementing advanced analytics solutions including AI, machine learning, and large language models to achieve operational efficiency. You will require a deep expertise in statistical analysis, data science, and automation, along with strong proficiency in Python, and data visualization tools. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple functions and lines of business, leveraging consulting skills and analytical expertise to deliver actionable insights and drive process improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply strategic, data science and quantitative skills within Regulatory Operations.
- Engage stakeholders and consolidate partnerships to continuously understand business drivers, goals, priorities and opportunities.
- Develop knowledge of operational processes managed within the pillar and help uncover opportunities using advanced analytics (AI/ML/LLM), research, and automation.
- Partner with subject matter experts and management to deliver automation solutions from idea conception through implementation.
- Manage data science and analytics strategies including recommendations on analytical products, services, protocols, and standards across the firm.
- Invent creative and innovative ways to answer key business questions by leveraging advanced analytics (AI/ML/LLM) & automation ; to improve efficiency and productivity of business user through automation and self-service.
- Decrease the analytics development lifecycle and increase the velocity at which analysts can disseminate insights.
- Socialize, promote and support the implementation of the analytic solutions, working with teams across all business units to identify and recommend ways to leverage it for specific deliverables, including automation solutions, dashboards, reports, Ad-hoc requests, deep dives, Industry study research etc.
- Be a storyteller capable of delivering practical data insights in a compelling manner actionable by senior leadership using presentations, discussions, and visualizations.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Data Science fields).
- Strong understanding of math behind machine learning algos.
- Demonstrated experience in modern data mining, quantitative research, and data science techniques (e.g., machine learning, behavioral analytics).
- Able to work in large and medium sized project teams, as self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic.
- Be a team player who can help build around other people’s work and can be a strong collaborator.
- Experience working across multiple database platforms, both on premises, such as Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, as well as on Cloud solutions such as AWS and Snowflake
- Demonstrated experience with process automation using tools such as Alteryx, Python, R, Tableau, SAS, SQL/PLSQL, VBA, SharePoint and other Business Intelligence tools.
- Demonstrated experience conducting data analysis with ability to tell compelling stories using data.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills:
- Financial services background
- M.S. equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative field
- 4+ years of data analytics experience or advanced degree in an analytical field
- Experience in recommendation systems
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. This role is 5 days a week fully in-office.
