As an Associate within the Distribution Middle Office team, you will be responsible for Fund & Client onboarding, Transitions, Funds Oversight and New Business initiatives. The team acts as a liaison between Operations and Internal Business teams including Product Delivery, Client Service, Funds Treasury, and Intermediary Services. In addition, the team works closely with the US Equity business team on new initiatives. In this role, you will drive innovation and scalability to improve future business growth and help drive our transformation agenda.
You will work closely with Product Implementation, Client Services, and Technology teams to deliver operational excellence. This position offers exposure to a wide range of asset management functions and the opportunity to mentor junior team members. Your analytical skills and problem-solving mindset will be essential as you help us innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Job responsibilities
- Serve as the central point of contact for fund events, coordinating with Product Implementation and Client Services
- Manage and coordinate transitions, working with transition managers, middle office teams, and custodians
- Liaise between the Equity business and operational teams on new initiatives, issues, and escalations
- Partner with Technology, business, and global teams to deliver operational transformation focused on risk reduction and automation
- Oversee holistic fund-level monitoring, including pre-trade requirements and implementation of investor restrictions
- Support training and mentoring of team members to foster a collaborative environment
- Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to support strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement
- Present insights to senior management and contribute to process improvements
- Maintain oversight of metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and key risk indicators (KRIs) to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Ensure compliance with operational controls and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to comprehend and evaluate complex business processes and propose fact-based recommendations tailored to the target audience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with advanced digital literacy
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in team settings with a solid understanding of trading systems and financial markets
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results with a focus on continuous improvement
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience in operations (Asset Management industry preferred) performing middle office functions
- Demonstrated success in leading transformational change and leveraging intelligent automation tools such as Alteryx, , Python and LLM is a plus
