As an Equity Derivatives Sales Associate/ Vice President in our Korea team, you will execute day-to-day transactions in equity derivatives and Equity Linked Securities (ELS) products across a diverse client base. You will work closely with trading, structuring, and research partners to provide comprehensive client coverage, fulfill client requests for market updates, and deliver market intelligence. You will be responsible for the trade execution process, client interaction, booking trades, and supporting team members on the desk. You will demonstrate proficiency in identifying market drivers and product terminology, and show a strong interest in learning about new products. You will thrive in high-pressure situations, bringing intellectual curiosity, organization, and attention to detail to the role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day transactions in equity derivatives and ELS products for Korean clients
  • Collaborate with trading, structuring, and research teams to provide comprehensive client coverage
  • Fulfill client requests for market updates and deliver market intelligence
  • Assist with the execution of client orders and ensure accurate booking of trades
  • Interact directly with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Support team members on the desk and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrate proficiency in identifying market drivers and product terminology
  • Maintain a high degree of organization and attention to detail in all activities
  • Operate effectively under high-pressure situations with appropriate urgency
  • Uphold the firm’s risk management policies and regulatory requirements
  • Continuously learn about new products and market developments
 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial services, preferably in equity derivatives, ELS and QIS products or related sales roles 
  • Experience covering Korean institutional clients (asset managers, pension funds, insurance companies, etc.)
  • Ability to assimilate news and market information to form market views
  • High level of diligence and attention to detail to operate error-free in a high-intensity environment
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to perform well under pressure
  • Strong understanding of fundamental and derivative products
  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative abilities
  • Team player, detail-oriented, with a disciplined approach to process and quality control
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal partners and clients
  • Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
 Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience covering Korean institutional clients (asset managers, pension funds, insurance companies, etc.)
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA)
  • Familiarity with regulatory environment and market practices in Korea
  • Experience with cross-border transactions and collaboration with global teams
