Job Summary
The Executive Director/Vice President will spearhead strategic initiatives and oversee business operations for the Commercial & Investment Bank in GIFT City. This role entails driving revenue growth and strategic plans aligned with GIFT City objectives, also ensuring regulatory driven adherence and providing governance oversight to successfully achieve the business goals set for GIFT City.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multiple Line of Business (LOB) stakeholders for the opportunities/assessment and implementation of new initiatives.
- Foster partnerships across various functions to facilitate smooth product launches and business operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies like IFSCA and SEZ authorities to ensure compliance and governance.
- Utilize regulatory networks to obtain necessary exceptions for significant transactions, contributing to future revenue growth.
- Implement governance frameworks in collaboration with internal teams to meet regulatory requirements.
- Drive strategic initiatives, aligning business and support functions (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance).
- Optimize business performance by driving key initiatives & KPI’s including analyzing of financial performance, including expense management.
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business, such as legal, tax, regulatory, etc.
- Partner with the Business, Operations, and Technology in defining future workflows and implementing related technology and projects to meet evolving market requirements.
- Maintain the location's operational strategies and ensure the smooth operation and appropriate coordination of all businesses as relevant.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a commercial or investment banking environment.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically think and run business related agenda across multiple groups
- Strong track record of driving business growth and managing complex client relationships. proven stakeholder management (internal and external)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
- Strong internal relationship-building skills across a broad range of functions.
- Experience working in diverse environments, with an understanding of local market dynamics
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
