Position Overview:

As a key member of the Analytics Tooling Center of Excellence (COE) in Asset & Wealth Management (AWM), you will contribute to a team of BI professionals and data engineers in support of our BI platforms and services for Alteryx, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and other low-code BI platforms, such as Sigma, that are under consideration for our user community.  Additionally, you will collaborate closely with product, operations, and data teams to understand business problems, identify underlying challenges, and support the deployment, governance, AWM controls management, and adoption for these platforms and services.  The primary responsibilities for this position will include driving the well governed, effective, and innovative rollout of analytics tools to non-technical users and citizen developers, while advancing the adoption of a portfolio of zero-code Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The leader in this role will be instrumental in advancing our analytics capabilities and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage processes for the adoption and administration of analytical platforms such as Alteryx, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and other analytical data bases to include user provisioning and support; maintenance of server hygiene, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support processes to manage the delivery of our analytical platforms such as SLA tracking, incident management, and problem management.
  • Hands-on development and management for BI platforms and tools like ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, and Python.
  • Maintain key controls, policies, and procedures for BI tool usage.
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling to support business use cases and technological advancements.
  • Build code to extract raw data, coach the team on techniques to validate its quality, and apply deep data knowledge to ensure the correct data is consumed and visualized.
  • Implement solutions and self-healing processes that minimize points of failure across multiple product features.
  • Design, develop, and manage proof of concept projects for dynamic data visualization solutions like Tableau and ThoughtSpot that provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.

Qualifications/Skills (Required):

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics/business intelligence to deliver data-driven insights and strategic solutions, with hands-on expertise in BI tools for advanced analytics, complex data manipulations, and crafting advanced data visualizations.
  • Experience publishing and managing dashboards, reports with optimized scheduling, addressing data discrepancies and performance issues proactively.
  • Experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Experience collecting, refining, and transforming data from diverse sources using advanced SQL queries and Alteryx/ETL expertise.
  • Mastery of SQL, including the ability to design and optimize complex queries and database structures.
  • Experience working across the Service Delivery Lifecycle on engineering enhancements and ongoing maintenance of existing applications.
  • Experience in managing the full lifecycle of data, from collection and storage to analysis and reporting.
  • Experience defining critical data scope within products, documenting, classifying, and enriching data with comprehensive metadata for effective use.
  • Drive projects efficiently using experience with tools like JIRA and Confluence, demonstrating agility and adaptability to transition swiftly between projects and meet evolving demands.
  • Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with version control systems and tools, such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.

Qualifications/Skills (Desired):

  • Hands-on expertise in BI tools like Alteryx, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot for advanced analytics, complex data manipulations, and crafting advanced data visualizations.
  • Experience with Python to effectively meet future and evolving data needs, while adeptly tackling complex data logic.

Qualifications/Skills (Nice To Haves):

  • Build and manage end-to-end cloud-native data pipelines in AWS, leveraging hands-on expertise with AWS components.
  • Strong understanding of Data Mesh, data modeling, and domain-driven design principles.
  • Experience working in large-scale data engineering projects and implementing custom solutions to meet business objectives.
