The U.S. Consumer Services Team (USCS) is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the U.S. Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle.

The Director of U.S. Consumer Marketing Enablement Operations & Strategy will oversee talent development and operational functions that power the Marketing Enablement Team (MET). The Director will oversee talent strategy and development including recruiting, onboarding, training, engagement, and career pipeline development. They will also manage centralized campaign planning, capacity management, inbound operational excellence requests, and partner closely with cross-functional teams across the organization.

The Director will lead a team of four colleagues and ensure the 120+ contractors / full-time colleagues on the Marketing Enablement Team (MET) have the skills, resources, and processes needed to deliver seamless and compliant marketing campaigns at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Strategy & Development: Oversee the strategy, recruiting, onboarding, training, and career pipeline growth process for the Marketing Enablement Team. Ensuring both full-time colleagues and contractors are equipped to succeed
  • Campaign Planning & Operational Management: Drive centralized planning and capacity management of major marketing initiative, including product launches, compliance updates, and cross-channel campaigns, while ensuring operational feasibility and efficiency
  • Compliance Enablement:  Coordinate execution plans for standard cross-channel compliance updates, ensuring 100% adherence; perform proactive risk management for each project to minimize unexpected risks
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams across Marketing, Compliance, MarTech Experiences (ECMX) and other areas to ensure seamless campaign delivery
  • Team Leadership & Enablement: Lead a core team of four colleagues while supporting over 120+ marketing colleagues on MET with tools and resources needed to deliver high impact marketing campaigns with excellence
  • Process Innovation: Implement net-new broadscale marketing strategies – evaluating goals, investigating enablement limitations, and developing new processes for successful launch. Additionally, partner with marketing operations teams to innovate marketer experiences

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in marketing execution, marketing strategy and/or capabilities
  • Project management expertise, balancing short and long-term needs to drive projects to completion across many teams, functions and levels
  • Impressive planning and organization skills with the ability to lead highly interdependent, complex initiatives and keep various workstreams on track
  • Excellent collaborator with outstanding verbal and written skills to independently influence across and upwards
  • Experience with and passion for cross-team leadership and collaboration, establishing a team culture committed to learning, development, and accountability
  • Experience with inclusive recruiting/hiring practices, organizational effectiveness, or training curriculum development preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Masters preferred 
  • Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
