Practice Consultant - Social Worker 8885| Fixed term contract for 18 month  | £31,978 to £35,192 per annum (Scale K) | 27 hours per week | Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Adult Mental Health Social Care service to continue with the development of a Countywide mental health duty team. We are looking to recruit an additional practice consultant for 27 hours per week, to work alongside the existing Practice consultant in post. This continues to be a developmental role and reshaping how Mental Health duty operates across the County and enable standardised practice across the 5 locality teams. This position would be for 18 months fixed term, which will be reviewed.

The successful applicant would be involved in the daily operational requirements of this role which would involve supporting duty practitioners across the 5 locality teams.

The successful applicant would need to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure, be well organised and able to effectively prioritise and risk assess cases being referred into the locality teams. The successful applicant would require experience, knowledge and commitment to this role. Knowledge and experience of working with people with mental health needs is desirable, however not essential as you will be supported to develop into the role with regular supervision, training and support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to progress into management. Secondments would be considered.
