EU Oilseeds Technology Engineer (CAPEX Planning)


An opportunity has arisen for a EU Oilseeds Technology Engineer (CAPEX Planning), reporting to the Director EMEAI Oilseeds Technology, to provide subject matter expertise across our Oilseeds operations in aspects such as preparation, extraction, refining, hydrogenation modification, biodiesel and transesterification. Your Responsibilities

• To lead capex planning across the region in Oilseeds,  collaborating with Operations Managers, operations technical centres (compliance, CAPEX, RTC, Process Control) and commercial managers to maintain/sustain and drive optimum production and yields, while minimizing costs and losses within the assigned Capex Budget.
• To play an active involvement in the development and execution of the initiative pipeline, providing operational technical support while aligning the Capex Budget.
• Prioritizing of projects, utilizing  prioritization tools such as PV/I and Kinney scores.
• To regularly communicate with Technology Engineers in the EMEAI Oilseeds locations, providing guidance coaching and support as required.
• To support ADM’s goals of arriving and remaining at the forefront of innovation through the introduction and use of technology within its global operations.

Your Profile

• A degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical/Industrial /Mechanical/Automation) or appropriate Agribusiness-related specialization.
• Good experience and progression in operational leadership (i.e., plant/site) and support (i.e., quality, process and/or continuous improvement, technical support, operations analysis).
• Strong ethical attitude and high integrity to keep people safe through driving excellence in process and personnel safety and comply to all legal legislation and company standards in daily operations, maintenance, and projects.
• A consistent track record of building something new and/or driving change throughout the operations organization.
• Prior project management experience and analytical skills involving complex technical work and aligning multiple stakeholders across various business segments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop PowerBI dashboards.
• Experience in using databases, ERP, analytical and presentation software i.e. WAVE, PowerBI, PI Reporter, Maximo, SharePoint, etc
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal), with a proven track record to lead and inspire through collaboration and influence as well as the ability to make effective presentations.
• Good team player with a results orientated approach.
