Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a highly talented, customer-oriented Senior Multi-mission Manifest Office (MMO) Team Manager to lead our team supporting the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program. You will guide MMO specialists responsible for manifesting and integrating multiple Space Vehicles (SVs) onto Launch Vehicles (LVs), working with the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC), Assured Access To Space (AATS) Directorate. This role enables the future of national security launch by supporting integration with providers including SpaceX, ULA, Blue Origin, and others. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage a team of SE&I MMO engineers performing SV/LV mission integration, including managing manifests, SV interfaces, and tracking payload development timelines.
- Mentor and assist Government Mission Integration Managers (GMIMs) in manifesting payloads, monitoring development, and executing integration activities across primary and auxiliary payloads.
- Serve as the key government-facing MMO representative, coordinating with SV and LV contractors, payload customers, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Support development and verification of mission, interface, and launch services requirements; contribute to requirement definition for hardware, software, analyses, and operations.
- Deliver technical briefings at major readiness reviews (e.g., MRR, FRR, LRR), and support mission planning through proposal evaluations, contract modifications, and systems engineering.
- Participate in program plan development, trade studies, console operations, real-time launch data analysis, and validation of SV/LV interface, processing, and transportation requirements.
- Contribute to fleet surveillance efforts, hardware pedigree reviews, mission unique requirement development, and collaborative engineering processes across the NSSL enterprise.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must bring senior engineering experience and integration leadership to support multi-mission manifesting for critical space operations:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or other STEM-related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of engineering experience with at least 3 years in launch/space vehicle integration within NSSL, DoD, NASA, or equivalent industry.
- Proven ability to coordinate across SV and LV contractors, operating locations, ranges, and government organizations.
- Strong understanding of USSF Engineering Launch Support Systems, architecture, launch centers, and integration workflows.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IT systems, and SharePoint-type databases.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance to start.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) with SCI access; not required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in systems engineering or a related field.
- Experience leading and managing technical teams in government or defense environments.
- Familiarity with SSC programs, senior Space Force leadership interaction, and Jira, Confluence, or Mattermost tools.
- Demonstrated success resolving engineering and quality issues across multi-agency operations.
- Strong judgment, collaboration, and communication skills—both written and oral.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
The projected compensation range for this position is $96,100.00-$159,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
