Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Maintenance Superintendent to join our vehicle sustainment team. This is an OCONUS position in the Pacific.
The selected candidate will provide cradle-to-grave maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of U.S. Air Force War Reserve Materiel (WRM) and Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery (RADR) vehicles and equipment postured within the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) area of operations on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Travel 100% to worksites in various locations, including the United States, Europe, and the Pacific Region.
- Mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
- Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations and maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
- Troubleshoots issues that arise and notifies maintenance department of equipment problems.
- Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
- Provides formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training to contractor and unit personnel.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four (4) + years' mechanical experience and a related BA/BS Degree. 6 years' experience accepted in lieu of a required BA/BS
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, pump, and mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines, including diagnostics and repairs.
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pumping schematics for troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with the Air Force’s Electronic Technical Manual System (ETIMS), AF Technical Orders, and various Commercial Manuals for maintenance and repairs.
- Experience and understanding of the Air Force’s fleet management and support systems, including compliance with asset Life-Cycle Management.
- Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, and multi-meters; experience following industry or military troubleshooting procedures.
- Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.
- Extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and replacing components for various vehicles and equipment, including aircraft support, construction, tactical, and transport vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on commercial construction equipment, as well as Civil Engineering equipment accompanying U.S. Air Force WRM Packages.
- Experience with maintaining/managing Air Force WRM & RADR vehicles & equipment.
- AF Fleet Management & Analysis experience. Understanding and use of Air Force Forms 4354, 4355, AFTO 91. Familiarity with T.O. 36-1-191, AFI 24-302, AFI 24-301.
- Experience related to corrosion prevention or removal in commercial or military industry.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position. Also, must be able to obtain and maintain active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
