General Manager (Railways O&M Head)

1. Coordinate with railways to get the no. of rakes as per operations plan of Logistics/BD 
2. Deliver cargo by rail as per plan
3. Plan and monitor yard operations
4. Monitor rake loading, unloading and alert logistics team for any corrective actions needed.
5. Monitor rake turn round time and take corrective actions
6. Plan and allocate manpower for shift operation and general shift for O & M
7. Plan and complete preventive and predictive maintenance activities
8. Respond quickly to breakdown maintenance activities and restore the equipment. 
9. Manage and control inventory costs of railway spare parts and consumables within budget
10. Prepare and monitor annual budget of operations/maintenance / spare parts / consumables 
11. Monitor spare parts, inventory levels and take necessary corrective actions
12. Manage processes and documentation as per IMS requirements
13. Ensure adherence to safety norms by employees/contractors 
14. Responsible for the scope of document preparation, estimation, execution and monitoring of projects.
15. Claim insurance for damages of assets through F&A and insurance agent 
16. Analyze breakdown causes and take preventive actions.
17. Ensure timely vendor payments through PR/SES/DPR in time.
18. Ensure timely payment of electricity dues to avoid penalty. Accompany Railway / Local officials during Inspection ensure no major issues.
19. Any other duties/ work that may be assigned by the management from time to time.

• B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience - 15yrs

Certification Required

• Relevant certifications in railway operations or maintenance (preferred)
