Our Fortune 500 Medical Device client has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Manager (IT).
About the role:
As part of the Indirect Sourcing organization, the Strategic Sourcing Manager develops and implements sourcing strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage for the Global IT category, while managing critical activities to reduce costs without compromising quality. In this highly visible position, the incumbent will build and leverage relationships between suppliers and Client’s sites, divisions and regional sourcing teams, and partner with IT leadership to achieve organizational and functional goals.
Your Responsibilities will include:
• Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies: Design and execute sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software, and services to meet organizational goals.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Contract Negotiation: Lead Request for Proposals and negotiations for contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with company policies and objectives.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new technologies.
• Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT projects, including potential disruptions and compliance issues.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate supplier performance, implementing improvement plans as necessary.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and legal teams, to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
• Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the sourcing function.
• Project Management: Establish cross-functional teams to support project timelines, manage cost and achieve company performance goals
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably with 3 years in the IT sector.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills. Proficiency in sourcing and procurement software.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, CPSM, or CSCP are advantageous.
• Other Requirements: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
