Adjunct Clinical Lecturer (NUR 219) Competency Based Assessment I - Fall 2025 - School of Nursing (Onsite)

Description

The UM-Flint School of Nursing is seeking to hire one adjunct clinical lecturer for fall 2025 to teach NUR 219 (Competency Based Assessment I). This is a 3-credit course requiring admission to the Accelerated Second Degree BSN Program and will be taken concurrently with NUR 240  (Adult Nursing Care I). Adjunct lecturers will work in collaboration with lead faculty.

Course Description: Introduction to the basics of clinical nursing practice. Students engage in competency-based learning aligned with The Essentials: Core competencies for Professional Nursing Education and focusing on key skills needed to provide patient care. Students engage in hands-on activities in the clinical and simulation center setting to ensure the development of these competencies.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications
• BSN required; MSN preferred;
• Previous experience working in adult-nursing care;
• Registration to practice nursing in Michigan with an unencumbered license or eligible to apply

Modes Of Work

Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence.  Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan.

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.  Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.
