Job Description:
The Black Student Coalition Intern position plays an essential role in supporting the mission of the Coalition by fostering community, leadership, and cultural awareness among Black students on campus. The purpose of this role is to assist with planning, coordinating, and executing coalition initiatives, programs, and events that promote belonging and student engagement.
Duties and responsibilities include organizing and supporting meetings, collaborating with other student leaders and organizations, assisting with communication and outreach efforts, helping plan cultural or social programs, and serving as a representative of the Black Student Coalition to the broader campus community.
General qualifications include strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team, reliability, and a commitment to advancing the mission of the Coalition. Leadership experience and event planning skills are helpful but not required.
Pay is determined within the approved student worker pay range and is based on prior experience, relevant skills, and the level of responsibility within the role. Students with demonstrated leadership or specialized skills may be placed at a higher pay level.
