The Kamphorst Laboratory is seeking highly motivated postdocs to lead projects related to T cell Biology. 

The Kamphorst lab studies CD4 and CD8 T cell differentiation. Focus on a better understanding of how inflammation, costimulation and cell interactions shape T cell function, exhaustion and T cell rescue by immunotherapy (e.g. PD-1 targeted therapy). Mouse models of viral infection and tumors will be used, and cancer studies may be complemented by analysis of samples from patients. The lab is currently expanding work on liver cancer. Candidates need to have a PhD in Immunology or related Biological Science. Experience with research in mice and strong background on flow cytometry, molecular biology and gene expression analysis is preferred. Specific projects will be discussed with the candidates. Technical Duties: (include any protocols) 

• Perform independent research in the area of T cell biology
• Critically analyze data quality and results, communicate results to scientists and lay people
• Write or assist in writing scientific papers and grants
• Collaborate closely with other scientists to conduct research

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. required
• Experience working in a research laboratory setting

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the ISMMS and the Sinai Postdoctoral Organizing Committee - UAW.
