About the Opportunity:
The ANZ Corporate Affairs and Communications Sr Manager will lead the development and execution of strategies and programmes for IFP in key priority markets across Australia and New Zealand. This role will be responsible for enhancing the company's reputation, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, overseeing regulatory and policy matters, and driving employee engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the ANZ region's business environment.

This role serves on the regional business’s leadership team, contributing to strategy development, engagement, knowledge sharing, capability building, and brand growth within IFP Global Communications Function.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with experience in corporate affairs, public relations, and communications.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive corporate affairs and communication strategies that align with the company's global objectives and regional priorities. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, media, and community leaders. 
  • Public Relations: Lead media relations efforts, including the preparation of press releases, speeches, and other communication materials.  
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis management plans to address potential issues that could impact the company's reputation. 
  • Policy Advocacy: Monitor regulatory developments and advocate for policies that support the company's business goals. Provide strategic advice on regulatory issues and their impact on the business. Represent the company in industry forums, policy discussions, and public affairs initiatives.  
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Oversee CSR programs and initiatives that reflect the company's values and contribute positively to the community. Corporate  
  • Internal Communication: Ensure effective internal communication regarding corporate affairs, policy matters, and strategic initiatives. Foster a culture of transparency and engagement within the organization.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate affairs, public relations, or communications, with a significant portion of that experience in the ANZ region. 
  • Proven history of strategic leadership and stakeholder management. 
  • Deep understanding of the ANZ region's regulatory environment and business landscape. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities. 
  • Experience in crisis management and reputation management. 
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.

  • Travel may be required within the ANZ region.
