The Post
We are seeking an experienced, curious and pro-active data analyst who is excited to develop and shape a new role which goes beyond the typical data analysis brief. The role will work with a wide range of stakeholders, maintaining existing and required reporting, whilst exploring how data is currently captured, identify gaps or limitations, and help design and deliver short- and longer-term solutions that makes data more available, reliable and meaningful.
This data will help to shape how we plan, implement, track and manage services funded by the Better Care Fund (BCF) across Adult Social Care (ASC) and a range of integrated schemes with our health partners. The BCF is a national programme that supports the integration of health and social care services, aiming to improve outcomes for residents.
Around half of your time will be spent on core data analysis and reporting tasks. The other half will focus on working closely with colleagues across the council and partner organisations to address the identified challenges.
The role sits within the Integrated Care Partnership Team, with strong support from the Adult Social Care Performance Team.
The PersonWe’Re Looking For Someone Who:
- Brings an inquisitive mind and isn’t afraid to ask “why?” or “what if?”
- Has the technical skills to hit the ground running and the drive to continuously improve and learn
- Knowledge of Adult Social Care systems, such as Mosaic, or similar platforms used in social care or by the NHS.
- Strong experience of working with Excel and Power BI
- Some understanding of relational databases for data extraction and manipulation is desirable, but not essential.
- Brings significant practical experience of designing, delivering and overseeing quantitative research.
- Can build strong networks and relationships to understand different perspectives.
- Enjoys learning new things and developing practical solutions.
- Is comfortable planning and managing their own workload.
- Can think creatively, beyond standard approaches, to improve how data is used.
