Key Details:
Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.
Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.
Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Department Summary:
The Shipboard Finance Analytics team at Carnival Cruise Line drives financial and operational excellence through advanced data analysis and reporting. We specialize in automating reporting processes, building scalable dashboards, and leveraging modern technologies like Power BI, Tableau, and Azure to support shipboard operations and strategic decision-making.
Internship Project Summary:
Title: Process Automation and Dashboard Development for Shipboard Operations
The intern will focus on automating key financial and operational processes using Microsoft tools such as Power Automate. They will also build dashboards in Power BI and support the migration of existing platforms (SSRS, Tableau, Etc.) reports to Power BI. The role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify analytics opportunities that improve shipboard operations.
Essential Functions:
Key Responsibilities for Shipboard Finance Analytics Intern:
Process Automation: Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate or similar tools to streamline reporting and operational tasks.
Dashboard Development: Build and enhance Power BI dashboards to visualize shipboard financial and operational data.
Tool Migration: Assist in migrating Tableau reports to Power BI, ensuring consistency and usability.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend analytics solutions.
Operational Insights: Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvements.
Specific Qualifications:
Education: Currently enrolled or recent graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field.
Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
Technical Knowledge:
Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
Familiarity with Power Automate or using Copilot.
Understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure and ETL/ELT processes
Proficiency in Office 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, Visio)
