Church & Dwight’s GMG team conducts business in over 130 countries and represents one of the fastest growing business units within Church & Dwight. Asia is a key, strategic market for us.
This role is new within the APAC based team and will report to the GMG Finance Director, based in the USA with a dotted-line into Sr. Director APAC.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning
- Be the right financial hand of the GMG APAC lead, participate to build presentations to APAC and Corporate Executive teams, assist in discussions with key existing and potential new distributors.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the region's goals and objectives.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across the APAC region, providing financial support to the Singapore team on all aspects of the business, including but not limited to financial forecasting (P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet), actual reporting, variance analysis, profitability analysis, cash flow analysis, contract compliance, and pricing support.
- Support Long Range Planning efforts, including providing financial analysis for marketing and sales initiatives and work/make recommendations on different business scenarios.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Monitor financial performance against targets and provide insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Actively support SOX and internal audit agenda, provide reconciliations for statutory audits in areas of responsibility.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor finance teams across the region, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Manage recruitment, training, and development of finance staff.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, operations, HR) to support business objectives and provide financial insights.
- Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in financial practices.
- Represents finance in S&OP meetings, ensure consistency of demand plans.
Financial Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations for Local Singapore Entity.
- Manage cash flow and ensure optimal working capital levels.
Strategic Projects and Initiatives
- Participate in strategic projects and initiatives, providing financial expertise and analysis.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other business development activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills in all aspect of the business (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, restructuring, investment analysis, pricing, etc)
- Multinational and consumer experience a plus
- +10 years or related experience in finance roles, ideally with some experience in the APAC region.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal and business partnering skills.
- Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Strong Excel, Power Point and Word skills and experience with SAP, Oracle and PowerBi a plus.
- Knowledge of local financial regulations and practices within the APAC region.
- University Degree in Business Administration or Finance & Accounting; MBA preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
