Vertiv is looking for a Project Lead to drive the successful delivery of high-profile M&E infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development. The Project Lead will manage projects from planning to commissioning, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong leadership to guide a team of engineers, effective coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, and the ability to solve problems logically while maintaining safety and compliance.
Job Description:
Reporting to the operations manager, the project lead will self-manage projects or work closely with project manager assigned, this position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance professional growth and development. Driven, energetic and self-motivated and who has experience with M&E infrastructure and ability to manage a team of Engineers to deliver high profile projects to meet organizations objectives.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: -
(This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.)
- Manage the project on delivering the project on time, within cost & acceptable quality
- Plan, coordinate & control on all the appointed M&E sub-contractors for implementing the projects
- Liaise with the customer/ contractor on the site related activities
- Coordinate with the internal team in terms of equipment delivery & testing and commissioning plan
- Provide the weekly progress report and dashboard updates to the management team
- Conduct the individual team review meeting & prepare the minutes of meeting for those turnkey / sizeable jobs
- conduct site rounds and joint checks on safety and quality audit checks with internal personnel for our appointed sub-contractors to maintain the safety & quality of works that delivered by our vendors at acceptable.
- Supported by document controller, support and assist with the preparation of project specific documentation such as (but not limited to):
- Hardware configuration, communication setup and “in-house” testing of developed solutions.
- Ability to solve problems logically and troubleshoot system faults.
- Follow department procedures and participate in the development of new and existing best practices, procedures and template documentation.
- Be able to collaborate with team members as well as working alone.
- Administration in the management of projects from inception to on-site commissioning and client hand over.
- Adaptable to meet project demands and deadlines.
- Be flexible to travel to site and support project commissioning activities for developed solutions.

Qualifications: -
Required/ Minimum Qualifications: -
- Electrical/Mechanical/Power Engineering qualification Degree with a minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in a similar role or Electrical/Mechanical Diploma with 5-10 years relevant experience.
- Strong background across a range of PLC systems or site M&E experience preferable in the Data Centre environment
- Proven experience in working with effective teams with cross functional environment, in term of budgeting, planning, control & managing resources
- Excellent interpersonal skills, goal-oriented, self-driven and can work under pressure
- Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization
- Creative, innovative, analytical and possessing strong commitment to excellence
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with an eye to details
Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -
- Be efficiently organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic use of Microsoft project
- PMP Certified is preferred, if available
- Relevant experience in Construction Engineering / Manufacturing environment
