Squad Leader

Job Description:

We are seeking a Squad Leader in the OSG Client Services space to lead strategic digital initiatives that enhance the client experience and accelerate our organization’s digital transformation.

As the Squad Leader you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squads’ mission and tactical execution associated with delivering on strategic priorities. In an agile structure, you will execute on specific product features and ensure respective products or services are available, stable, performant, and supported when required.

You will ensure alignment on the 'what', 'why' and 'when' work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog along with other OSG and Technology Leaders. You will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation, and learn from failures while celebrating success.

Key Responsibilities

You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring the latest thinking to your role. In addition, your responsibilities include:

• Defining, refining, and communicating the squads' mission and roadmap to motivate and build team and partner support and alignment
• Anticipating, discovering through ongoing interaction with, and prioritizing client / partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team
• Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria
• Measuring performance through established critical metrics and deliver agreed upon business, technology, and people results
• Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments
• Drive enhancement requirements, technical solution review, business acceptance testing, and implementation coordination
• Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost and timelines

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• 7+ years of related product management experience, systems development, product development, and/or project/product management
• Financial services experience, preferred
• Understanding and comprehensive knowledge of operations within the Institutional business, preferred
• Agile experience, preferred
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred
• You take a data-driven approach to understanding client needs, you translate strategic goals into action, and prioritize to enhance value delivered
• You have a continuous improvement approach
• Demonstrate the ability to comprehend technical requirements and effectively communicate them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across all teams.
• You are energized by working collaboratively to deliver agreed business outcomes, drawing on the expertise of colleagues to inform the approach and remove impediments to making progress
• You are capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high-performing teams
• Demonstrate strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration experience by establishing and maintaining unquestioning relationships across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes
• Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills with business and technology partners and leaders at various levels
• You are intellectually curious and model a culture of learning and coaching
• Jira and Jira Align experience, preferred
