JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Applications Team Lead, support key district systems, including Student Information Systems, Salesforce-based applications, and Special Education platforms. This role involves task prioritization, procedure development, and documentation in alignment with district policies. Responsibilities include configuring applications, resolving performance issues, and assisting with escalated technical problems. The specialist also helps manage emergency responses and provides occasional training to school staff on effective system use.

Member of SIS team in the support, training, and user support of all applications supported by Student Information Systems.

Troubleshoot system issues, providing solutions to identified problems and ensures they are documented, implemented and operating properly.

Develop skills and assist in application configuration, development and deployment of new application features.

Communicate with Application team, team lead about status of work and any issues with work in progress.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSThe minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education/experience
  • Information technology experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, email, etc. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate understanding of reporting principles and practices
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills 
  • Intermediate interpersonal relations skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, problem solving ability, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve business issues through solution-oriented projects
  • Ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities

  • Experience with PowerSchool functions and user support
