Ignite the Path to Future Business Growth
As our Americas Sales Development Manager, you'll lead a geographically distributed team spanning North America and Latin America. You will drive strategy, culture, and execution for a team that is on the front lines of new business creation. From coaching SDR's on modern outreach techniques, to refining funnel strategies with Sales and Marketing leaders, to showcasing results to senior executives, your leadership will directly shape Akamai's future growth.
As a Manager Sales Development, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and coaching SDRs in multiple countries across the Americas, including two team leads, two contractors, and eleven full-time employees
- Partnering closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to refine funnel strategies and regional prospecting approaches
- Acting as a player-coach, ensuring SDR's know how to leverage tools, execute effective outreach, and consistently deliver results
- Building Salesforce reporting to track performance, communicate outcomes to executive leadership, and guide team improvements
- Fostering an engaging team culture by leveraging CliftonStrengths, SPIFF campaigns, and incentives to keep remote SDR work fresh, fun, and motivating
- Traveling occasionally to connect with team members and leadership across the region
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- Demonstrate proven success managing SDR teams and developing talent in a remote, multicultural environment
- Have expertise with intent and prospecting tools such as 6Sense, TechTarget, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Be familiar with parallel and AI dialing platforms (e.g., Orum, Nooks).
- Have strong knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Salesloft, with the ability to coach SDRs on best practices
- Leverage AI to scale outreach and improve prospecting efficiency
- Possess strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present results and insights to senior leadership
- Spanish and Portuguese proficiency is a strong plus

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $96,200 - $199,800/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
