Associate Technical Lead (Java/Kotlin)

Cambio Software is a software research and development center for Cambio Healthcare Systems AB, Sweden, currently with over 300 software engineering professionals in Sri Lanka designing and developing cutting edge Healthcare Solutions using state of the art of technologies to cater our prestigious clientele.

Position

Do you want to work with complex healthcare information systems that have very high requirements to scale?

If so, then we have got a fantastic opportunity for you to become a member of our Ecosystem team. Our mission is to create a new platform to facilitate third-party integration so that we, together with others, can innovate to improve healthcare and the end-to-end care chain.

You will be working hands-on and designing software that will improve the way Cambio contributes to society. You will be designing and supporting the architecture as well as setting up test cases.

About You

You are a hands-on engineer with a great ability to design, develop and test software. As a person, you are a humble and responsible team player who loves problem-solving. You have a great interest in technology and are passionate about programming. You thrive in team environments, but you are also able to take ownership and work independently.

Pre-Requisites

• 6+ years of work experience as a Java Software Engineer or similar role.
• Being able to work proactively with minimal guidance in a globally distributed team.
• Proven experience in at least some of these areas:
• Working with Spring Boot or any similar framework
• SQL knowledge, especially with PostgreSQL
• Kubernetes/OpenShift and containerization
• System design experience, preferably with distributed systems
• Experience delivering Software-as-a-Service solutions

Experience with any of the following would be a plus:

• Working with HL7 FHIR
• Kotlin or any other "object-functional" programming language
• OAuth 2.0, JWT and related security concepts
• Kafka and Kafka Streams
• Software testing experience
• CI/CD pipelines: GitLab, ArgoCD or similar
• Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.
