Embla Medical is seeking a talented and driven Legal Counsel to take ownership of legal annual compliance and corporate maintenance across our entities in the EMEA and APAC regions.

As a Legal counsel, you’ll oversee annual compliance processes, maintain corporate records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support legal governance initiatives.

You'll be working from our modern office right in the center of Szczecin, while being part of our legal team based in Iceland.

What you will do

  • Legal annual compliance work, including preparation and drafting of necessary documents in order to convene Annual General Meetings and Board Meetings in accordance with local legislation. 
  • Carry out responsibilities related to AML compliance under Polish law.
  • Other corporate maintenance secretarial work when necessary. 
  • Data management and maintenance within Embla´s legal entity management system (Diligent). 
  • Coordinate the execution of legal documents through Docusign.   
  • Maintain up-to-date register of legal requirements by jurisdiction related to annual compliance. 
  • Respond to inquiries concerning legal entity matters. 
  • Other additional responsibilities and tasks that may arise. 

Who We’re Looking For

First and foremost: a great colleague to work with who has problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently. Additionally, ideal candidates will possess:

  • Master’s degree in law. 
  • At least 5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in corporate law – either in house or at a law firm. 
  • Solid understanding of corporate governance requirements, including board and shareholder meetings procedures. 
  • Ability to communicate professionally in English both written and verbal. 
  • Ability and interest to work across multiple jurisdictions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
