Your Role
Embla Medical’s Global Tax team is seeking a Tax Accounting Specialist to strengthen our international tax operations across 35+ countries. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing IFRS tax reporting, coordinating statutory financial statement processes, and supporting global tax compliance.
You’ll join a dynamic team of 8 professionals based in Iceland, the Netherlands, and Poland. As an internal center of expertise, the Global Tax team ensures compliance with global and local tax regulations, manages IFRS tax reporting, and supports the business in its operations. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in Global Tax, Finance Control, the Finance Shared Service Center, and external advisors.
Your Tasks
- Prepare and execute quarterly and annual IFRS tax accounting reports, including financial systems postings and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Determine and compile current, deferred, and cash tax positions for the group’s annual financial report, in close collaboration with Finance Control.
- Support corporate income tax compliance, including reconciliation between tax returns/assessments and IFRS reporting.
- Coordinate the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with local regulations, coordinate with internal stakeholders and managing external service providers.
- Maintain reconciliations between IFRS and statutory financial statements.
- Support Finance Control during local statutory audits.
- Prepare Country-by-Country and Pillar 2 reporting, working closely with the tax team of our main shareholder in Denmark.
- Support transfer pricing compliance, including periodic calculations, analyses, and local file preparation.
- Foster strong collaboration with Finance Control, the Shared Service Center, and external advisors.
- Contribute to automation and digitalization initiatives in tax accounting and transfer pricing compliance.
Who Are You:
- You hold a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
- You bring 3–5 years of experience in tax accounting within an international company or accountancy firm, with exposure to IFRS reporting.
- You communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
- You are proficient in Microsoft tools, especially Excel. Experience with MS Business Central, Cognos Controller, and FP Cubes is a plus.
- You are organized, accurate, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines and work independently.
- You are eager to learn and grow professionally.
