Job Summary

The Associate Director of the Office of Digital Transformation & Process Improvement (ODTPI) provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Project Management Office (PMO), Business Analyst Team, and Workflow/Process Improvement Team. Reporting directly to the CIO, the Associate Director ensures that technology and business initiatives align with the University’s mission and strategic priorities through effective governance, portfolio management, and process optimization.

This role staffs and supports the University IT Portfolio Council, which is responsible for prioritization, oversight, and execution of the enterprise project portfolio. The Associate Director collaborates with stakeholders across the institution, serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, and drives a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$95,000 - $105,000 annual

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or closely related field.
  2. Work experience that includes all of the following:a. Seven years of progressive experience in project/portfolio management, business analysis, and/or process improvementb. Five years working in higher educationc. Three years managing a teamd. Demonstrated success in establishing and leading PMOs or equivalent functions
  3. Experience with governance structures and executive-level decision support
  4. Strong knowledge of project management and business analysis methodologies
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Master's degree in Technology Project Management

Work Hours

Core Hours: Generally normal business hours (8:00am-4:30pm); weekend or after-hours work may be required to support change management or disaster recovery

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions.
