Position Overview:
The Warehouse Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining an organized, accurate, and efficient parts warehouse. This role ensures that incoming goods are received and logged properly, stock is stored in the correct locations, and inventory levels are consistently monitored. The Specialist will play a key role in supporting service, sales, and operations by ensuring that the right parts are available, well-documented, and easy to locate
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Logging:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify against purchase orders, and inspect for accuracy/damage.
- Enter received items into the inventory system promptly and accurately.
Organization & Storage:
- Maintain clean, orderly, and clearly labeled storage areas.
- Implement standardized bin locations and update records to match.
- Ensure high-turnover parts are easily accessible and slow-moving/discontinued parts are separated for review.
Inventory Accuracy:
- Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
- Assist with quarterly/annual physical inventory audits.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when reorder thresholds are reached.
Support & Coordination:
- Work with service advisors and technicians to fulfill part requests quickly and accurately.
- Support special orders and ensure they are tracked and assigned properly.
- Prepare outgoing shipments (packaging, labeling, documentation).
Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in warehouse layout and inventory management.
- Assist with implementing best practices for inventory control and workflow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse, inventory control, or parts management preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management software a plus (DockMaster, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Ability to lift and move boxes/parts (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
Position Details
- Reports To: Parts & Service Manager
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed
