Job Summary/Responsibilities:

Knife River is currently seeking a qualified individual to install tracking devices and systems across our company fleet. This role also includes monitoring system functionality to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with computers, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Preferred experience with heavy equipment and construction vehicles (diesel and gasoline).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Familiarity with Samsara, Track-It, FleetWatcher, and FuelMaster is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with Samsara, Track-It, FleetWatcher, and FuelMaster is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, transmissions, and related equipment.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Skilled in the safe operation of hand tools and equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical proficiency preferred.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

  • Extensive walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, odors, mists, adhesives, acids.
  • Hand eye coordination.
  • Frequent and/or extended periods requiring kneeling, bending, and/or twisting.
  • Working in all weather conditions for extended period of time.
