Operator, Housekeeping - 2nd Shift

Objective:

Responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness of the facility.

Responsibilities And Essential Functions:

• Sweep and mop all common area floors, rest rooms, locker, and break areas (including rugs and carpets).
• Utilize self-propelled floor scrubber when needed and dispose of waste correctly.
• Empty all trash cans and replace with liners, disposing of trash in proper location.
• Clean and sanitize all tables and chairs, windows and mirrors, water fountains, microwaves and refrigerators (inside and out), ceiling tiles and light fixtures (report any that are missing or damaged),  toilets, urinals, stall doors walls and sinks daily and as needed after.
• Clean and refill coffee pots in the break rooms daily.
• Wipe down lockers, break room walls, doors and any flat surfaces that may gather dust.
• Replenish gowning room, restroom and kitchenette supplies as needed.
• 1st shift area of responsibility:  Large gowning room and circuit lines.
• 2nd shift area of responsibility: Small gowning room, BBAM, Packaging and Kaizen room.
• 3rd shift area of responsibility: Compactor area, component warehouse, back side of Mold and Extrusion.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs.
• Restock clean lab coats in all gowning rooms as needed.
• Complete all assigned weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime for rotating weekends and for extra cleaning assignments as needed.
• Communicate to the appropriate personnel, any problem, idea, or solution which pertains to the Utilities Department and/or its interaction with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and personal protective equipment needed to perform assigned task.
• Assist in the setup and removal of any supplies needed for companywide gatherings.
• Carry department radio and respond to requests as needed.
• Use the proper cleaning chemical at proper dilution for each task.
• Only use cleaning equipment after proper training and in accordance to department needs.
• Perform assigned duties completely, accurately and in a timely matter.
• Fill in or help cover for other team members and assist other team members as needed.
• Must be able to manage daily workload with limited supervision.
• All other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

This is a manufacturing facility and as a result, employees have the potential to be exposed to noise, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, machinery, vibration or other workplace hazards controlled within compliance of current safety and health standards.

Qualifications:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required
• 2 or more years’ experience in housekeeping within a manufacturing facility preferred
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
