  • Key Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
  • Provide expert-level technical service support (internal and external) by:
  • Serving as the primary technical liaison between customers and sales teams.
  • Conduct technical training/presentation for internal teams and external customers on chemical products.
  • Develop technical literature, data sheets, presentations, and reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and competitor products.
  • Source new products for Purchasing and Sales and identify new vendors strategic product lines that will complement our current offering.
  • Provide offset recommendations and formulation assistance to support changing market dynamics.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and provide solutions for product related customer complaints.
  • Assist with regulatory and quality compliance related to product use and specifications.
  • Willingness to travel on technical joint calls with the sales team to visit customers. Some overnight travel may be required.


Required Education / Training / Equivalent Experience (prior to hire / transfer:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a chemistry-related field (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, etc.).
  • Additional experience in sales, and/or marketing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of chemical formulations, materials testing, and industrial application processes.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques (e.g., GC, FTIR, rheology, titration).
  • Trained in problem solving techniques and team building skills.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • People / team oriented.


OJT (Required within the initial employment period – varies per position and experience):

  • Knowledge of suppliers’ product lines and chemical database software.
  • Applicable internal applications training
  • Knowledge of all facility departments and specific functions.
  • Training requirements from the New Employee Checklist.
  • Participate in vendor training as needed.
