Responsibilities

• Integrate functional UI/UX mockups into Shopify;
• Customize, develop, and implement custom themes and applications;
• Ensure maintenance and propose continuous improvements;
• Contribute to strategic discussions and provide development effort estimates;
• Follow the latest and best development practices;
• Perform code quality reviews for your colleagues;
• Ensure the site is fully functional before launch;
• Stay up to date with the latest web technologies and trends.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Shopify;
• Proficiency in JavaScript and at least one popular framework (Vue.js, React, etc.);
• Proficiency in another object-oriented programming language;
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid;
• Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations;
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals and Shopify best practices;
• Experience with databases such as MySQL/MariaDB;
• Solid knowledge of Git;
• Experience with development frameworks (Agile, Kanban, etc.).

Nice-To-Haves

• Experience with another modern e-commerce platform;
• Experience with Grunt or Gulp;
• Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, BitBucket, Confluence);
• Experience with headless development (Hydrogen preferred);
• Experience with connected external systems (PIM, DAM, ERP, etc.);
• Experience with hosting services (AWS, Vercel, etc.).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of proven experience with Shopify;
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of proven experience with HTML, CSS, SASS or LESS, and JavaScript;
• Bilingualism (French/English);
• Resourceful, autonomous, and versatile;
• Creative and curious;
• Strong attention to detail, ergonomics, and aesthetics.
