Job Title: Student Facilities Assistant - Mfa Studio, F25-S26
Reports to: Mark Henne
Description:
DigiPen's MFA in Digital Arts program seeks an engaged student to help organize the MFA Studio, install artwork, assemble bookcases, develop online program services, and perform other tasks related to improving the studio facility. Ongoing maintenance outside of what is done by the campus facilities staff may also be assigned. Familiarity with 3D printing and VR headsets is a bonus. Additional tasks may be given as deemed appropriate.
General Qualifications:
- Be an enrolled student.
- Be available to work between 5-10 hours per week when there are tasks to accomplish.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy weights, up to 25 pounds, to install artwork and display fixtures, or to move furnishings around the room and the building.
- Ability to be handy with basic tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers to assemble pre-made furniture and install artwork.
- Familiarity with online content generation.
- Ability to act on requests and to work independently.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn basic support for liquid resin 3D printing and Oculus VR systems.
Working Conditions:
- Flexible work schedule, must be able to coordinate meeting or cooperative work times with supervisors
- Some activities may involve being on stepladders, working while on the floor, carrying dirty or dusty items, or similar tasks.
Expected number of hours per week: 5 – 10

Wage Range:
$16.66 - 17.75 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen
Digipen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
- Are currently a Matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Requirement Exceptions:
It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
Once you have applied for – and the supervisor decides to offer you – a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived. Once the Waiver is returned to us, we'll continue you through the hiring process.
