Job Description
A Program Manager at IFS is responsible for realizing the intended value of decided investment cases. A program manager is the voice of the customer, provides technical thought leadership, and ensures that we deliver the intended value on time, on budget, and with the right quality, resulting in great customer adoption and high customer satisfaction.
A Program Manager drives delivery of investment cases, sometimes multiple investment cases at the same time. He or she needs to work alongside different stakeholders and work across multiple teams whilst advocating and representing business value. Coordination, sequencing and prioritization within the set scope, as well as ensuring work is on track is part of the day-to-day job. A Program Manager works with all aspects of the investment’s life cycle and ensures that the defined best practices are adhered to.
A Program Manager is an evangelist who inspires colleagues, customers and partners both internally and
externally. This also includes explaining plans, demonstrating product capabilities and presenting our vision,
strategy and roadmap. He or she continuously works to expand domain knowledge, pro-actively shares
knowledge and experience, and guides others. Interacting and collaborating effectively across all parts of R&D
and the wider organization is a must to succeed.
Important:
The customers and the stakeholders that a R&D Program Manager works with might be external, internal or both depending on their respective domain area. The team that the Program Manager works with closely might be a development team(s), or a close collaboration and coordination amongst many different teams.

- Ensure that investment cases address the needs of customers, partners, and target market
- Advocate and represent the business value of investment cases within the teams
- Continuously develop and enhance knowledge and understanding of our technologies, target industries, customer operations, and applicable audiences
- Act on customer feedback and escalations, handle communication and interactions with stakeholders, customers, and partners
- Be a reliable source of insight and information in an established field of expertise

- Understand the scope and feasibility of the investment
- Work with the team in understanding incremental value delivery when decomposing the scope
- Work effectively with relevant stakeholders to set clear, and challenging goals for their area of responsibility and pursue them with enthusiasm and passion
- Prioritize work effectively in a value-driven manner
- Work alongside relevant stakeholders to manage the work, including resource planning and expected delivery dates within the team(s), forecasting, and coordinating across different teams where required.
- Manage customer escalations – Drives the work in the agile development teams.
- Proactively identify and assess risks in order to work through mitigation plans
- React immediately to issues that have arisen in order to respond and build resolution plans
- Ensure that relevant stakeholders are aware of the risk/issue from the beginning and that they are kept informed at all times.
- Make sure that the risks are monitored continuously and that issues are managed efficiently with regular reviews and updates to the onward plans.
- Take responsibility for ensuring the conclusion of the mitigation / resolution plan.
- Identify stakeholders and understand their expectations and interests in the investment.
- Engage with all stakeholders in a manner that is tailored to their interests and expectations.
- Keep stakeholders informed especially of potential issues and changes to the agreed plans.
- Be transparent and trustworthy in all communications.
- Secure quality throughout the entire development lifecycle to ensure quality assurance targets are met, in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
- Take an active part in customer feedback opportunities and activities
- Handles customer requirements, presents and explains plans, roadmap, and strategy.
- Proficient presenter, inspiring others by using storytelling and experience to showcase the benefits and value that can be gained from using our products and/or services.
- Seek out opportunities for evangelism.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Recommended 4+ years of relevant experience
- College Diploma or University Degree in a Technical Field, or other Relevant Fields
- Experience from relevant industries and markets and are used to interact with customers and partners
