Treasury & Payments Associate

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Treasury & Payments Associate to join Heartland Bank Australia Limited based in Sydney, Australia.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting Heartland Bank Australia's CFO and Bank Treasurer in the execution of daily capital monitoring and the preparation of ADI (Level 1) and Consolidated (Level 2) reporting in accordance with APRA guidelines. Your responsibilities will also include contributing to the production of monthly ALCO papers, assisting the Regulatory Reporting Manager in delivering the annual Bank Capital Forecast Model for ICAAP purposes, and partnering with the Senior Manager FP&A to develop the Bank Business Unit’s Five-Year Plan and Budget financial model

Does this sound like you?

You’re a motivated self-starter with a strong grasp of statistics, financial modelling, and data processing. You’re comfortable working with large datasets and translating complex information into actionable insights.

You’Re A Pro With:

  • Experience with treasury reporting and analytics in a Banking Environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, with a strong numerical aptitude and analytical mindset
  • Detailed understanding of capital and liquidity management frameworks, ICAAP and ALCO reporting
  • Identification, assessment, evaluation and management of risks within a Finance function
  • APRA & ASIC regulatory requirements
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of ERP systems and cloud-based reporting / planning solutions
  • Understanding of controls around accounts payable function
  • Excellent Communication Skills (both verbal and nonverbal)

Qualifications/Certification:

  • Relevant degree qualifications in Commerce and/or Finance
  • Chartered Accountant status is highly desirable
  • AFMA type accreditation for Treasury (or willingness to become accredited)
