Position Summary:
ANSER is seeking a Power Systems Resilience Lead to support energy resilience efforts for the Department of Defense (DoD) installations and facilities. In this key role you will ensure alignment of basing and installation operations capabilities and capacity with the training, readiness, and support requirements of Military Departments and Combatant Commanders. You will support the laydown of DoD capabilities at both stateside and overseas locations and the effective and efficient use of real property.
Day To Day Responsibilities:
- Provide decision-making analysis and support across the following areas: global posture, power systems, installation infrastructure, installation capabilities post disaster and threat situations and installation operations synchronization.
- Evaluate installation power and systems capabilities providing subject matter expertise in installation resiliency.
- Analyzes and provides guidance to the client on the installation power, system and technical capabilities post disaster or unforeseen threat situations.
- Analyzes and provides guidance to the client on threat and risk mitigation for installation power, system and technical capabilities to ensure continued functioning.
- Assists with the development and management of performance metrics within all enduring or contingency situations.
- Lead a small team (less than 5) of employees.
- Manage day-to-day team and/or contract invoicing, time keeping and documentation.
This position requires 50 to 75% travel. Travel is scheduled in advance with appropriate notice.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Energy Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineering or similarly related discipline.
- 12 or more years’ progressive relevant experience including experience with power, energy, systems and large-scale facility environments and/or assessing for resiliency and failure mitigation.
- Experience in military construction, either as uniformed military, federal civilian or defense contractorPrior experience presenting technical information to non-technical senior stakeholders at the Major Command, Component or Department of Defense level.
- Demonstrated knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, such as power lines, substations, water systems, airfields, roadways, lighting, generations systems and the interdependencies that affect operational continuity and mission readiness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience leading small teams.
- Proven track record in analyzing infrastructure capabilities to determine whether they meet mission-critical requirements, including identifying risks or gaps and developing mitigation strategies to improve energy resilience and infrastructure performance.
- Hands-on experience conducting or supporting installation-wide assessments and delivering recommendations that inform strategic-level planning, disaster recovery, or contingency operations.
- Understanding of DoD planning, programming, and budgeting processes and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, logistics, and installation management teams.
- Familiarity with load analysis, electrical distribution systems, and installation power infrastructure, particularly as they relate to post-disaster assessments or planning for energy assurance and redundancy.
- Comfortable leading or participating in site surveys and field assessments requiring frequent travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations, working collaboratively with small, agile teams.
- Ability to translate technical engineering findings into actionable recommendations for senior decision-makers
