The Role
Position Objective/ Summary:
Responsible for managing a set of vendors and the associated spend which supports Lumen Asia Pacific’s budget. This will include relationship development, creation and execution of vendor strategy, contract negotiations to reduce cost and enhance product offerings, management of contractual terms and conditions to ensure compliance, communication of vendor strategy and capabilities to internal stakeholders, and facilitation of the vendor performance management process and direction of improvement plans.
The Main Responsibilities
- Addresses at least 2 real-time feeds daily of keyed orders by identifying cost saving alternate routes.
- Communicates correct meet-points and NNIs on the network connecting to our vendors with the alternative cost-savings solutions.
- Maintains yearly cost-savings budget for the Reroute cost savings program.
- Verifies billing integrity newly implemented and installed alternate cost saving solutions and oversees any disputes with Billing and our vendors.
- Provides feedback to the Carrier Managers on the vendors’ pricing, delivery, and any other competitive info.
- Works cross-functionally with Product Management, Provisioning, Sales Engineering, Billing, and Network Planning.
What We Look For In A Candidate
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Business/ Finance/ Telecommunications
- 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with strong relationships with major carrier providers in Asia Pacific
- Excellent communications (English and Chinese, verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and problem solving abilities, and the ability to work with a globally diverse team.
- Business and financial acumen, individual must be self-motivated, adaptive to changes and results-oriented.
- Ability to build strong cross-departmental business relationships
- Operational experience in telecommunications (Provisioning, Planning, Marketing, Project Management, Account Management or Contract Management)
- Proven experience in negotiating MSAs and SLAs, and establish brand new vendors.
- Ability to interpret terms and conditions of purchase agreements and LEC tariffs, and use that knowledge to solve problems and create opportunities
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and issues at the same time
- Solid knowledge of last mile access technologies and data network solutions
- Strong customer service focus

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors
