Cybersecurity Specialist

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (“CAO”) House Information Resources (HIR) is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to provide Technology Service Support to staff of the U.S. House of Representatives
(“House”) in both Washington, DC and district offices.  The Cybersecurity Specialist will be accountable for security planning, compliance, and the implementation of best practices.  

Requirements:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of federal security requirements (NIST, Privacy Act, HISPOL).
• Incident response capability – respond within 1 hour, coordinate with House SOC.
• Expertise in encryption standards (FIPS 140-2), remediation, and compliance reporting.
