Family Office It Support Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and service-oriented IT Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support and systems management within a family office environment. This role requires a proactive, resourceful professional who can ensure seamless day-to-day technology operations across both business and personal systems. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, high-touch setting, supporting executives, staff, and household members with discretion, professionalism, and “white glove” service.
Key Responsibilities
End-User & Executive Support
- Deliver “white glove” technical support for executives, staff, and household members across office, home, and offsite locations.
- Provide support for computers, mobile devices (Windows, MacOS, iOS), printers, and peripherals.
Systems & Applications
- Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other collaboration tools.
- Provide hardware, software, and application support across Windows, Mac, and Server OS environments.
- Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, and related identity/security tools.
- Support Zoom/Teams conference rooms and other video conferencing systems.
Networking & Security
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (routers, switches, Wi-Fi; Unifi equipment preferred).
- Monitor, escalate, and resolve network and cybersecurity issues promptly.
- Support security tools including MFA, VPNs, BeyondTrust, and Microsoft Defender.
- Manage CCTV systems and related security integrations for home and office.
Home & Av Technology
- Maintain and support home audio/video and automation systems (Control4, smart TVs, integrated sound systems, streaming services).
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth operation and timely issue resolution.
Administration & Documentation
- Maintain accurate asset management, system documentation, and technical logs.
- Develop and document checklists, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency.
- Support system upgrades, configurations, and infrastructure maintenance.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of IT support experience in professional, executive, or private office environments.
- Proven experience supporting C-Suite or high-profile executives with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Hands-on experience with Windows, Mac OS, iOS/Android devices, and server environments.
- Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, and related identity/security tools.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, and Confluence.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Egnyte, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, routers/switches; Unifi preferred).
- Familiarity with home AV and automation systems (Control4, smart devices, streaming services).
- QuickBooks/QuickBooks Cloud and migration experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve issues independently.
- Experience using ticketing/helpdesk systems and ITIL-based support processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first, service-oriented mindset.
- Highly organized, dependable, and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and anticipate IT needs proactively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
