We’re looking for a high-energy, results-driven Director Sales | Luma & ELN, for our North America division, to help us power digital transformation across the Life Science industries. As the Director you will be in player-coach mode, hitting targets while supporting a successful existing team focusing on Sales for our ELN & Luma products. This position is all about building deep relationships with the world’s top Life Science, Chemical Material, Specialty Materials, and industrial leaders, understanding their complex challenges, and delivering cutting-edge SaaS solutions that unlock efficiency, sustainability, and competitive advantage.
As a Director Sales,, you’ll be driving growth across your account base, engaging with key stakeholders across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and Data Science, and leading enterprise-level sales cycles, while leading a sales team, motivating and supporting them in reaching their goals (from a revenue & career perspective).

- Solution Selling with Impact: You’re not just selling software—you’re solving critical business challenges. You’ll translate our platform’s value into compelling, customized pitches that resonate with scientists, IT leaders, and executives alike.
- Pipeline Generation Powerhouse: An exciting opportunity to play a critical role in our new technology launch unlike any our industry has seen. You will build and drive pipeline to identify new opportunities across multiple personas within each account. You’ll leverage every tool in the book—an established user base of several million across the Dotmatics portfolio, ABM, cold outreach, warm referrals, and events—to build relationships and drive deals. As a Director you will support your existing team in building and generating a pipe, supporting them in complex deals and meetings
- Negotiation & Closing Excellence: From discovery to signature, you’ll lead and support complex negotiations, navigate organizational roadblocks, and secure high-value, 7+ figure deals.
- Strategic Account Management: Build trust and long-term partnerships by understanding your clients’ needs and ensuring our solutions align with their scientific and operational goals.
- Driving Process & Execution: Follow a best-in-class enterprise sales framework to create a repeatable, scalable success model, lead and coach a team in best practice to ensure efficiency and effectiveness - helping them seize every opportunity.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, customer success, external partners to deliver a seamless customer experience and drive sustained growth.
- ABC, Always Be Curious: Stay on top of industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies. You’re curious, ambitious, and always looking to level up your sales game.
We are looking for people who have significant sales experience in the Life Sciences, Chemical Material space, typically liaising/engaging with Senior Leadership/C-Suite, CxOs, R&D teams, and IT leaders—influencing multi-dimensional decision-making. You will be entrepreneurial, open and curious and demonstrate a strong track record in complex enterprise SaaS sales, ideally in data management, automation, or AI solutions, and you’re comfortable selling solutions that aren’t pre-budgeted and can craft compelling business cases that justify investment.
The key skills we are looking for:
- Executive Presence (ability to align with leadership and execute)
- Advance communication and presentation skills (both internally and external such as Clients and public speaking)
- Demonstrated sales performance for self and team success
- Navigate and executing difficult/challenging contracts and relationships, multi-national, multi-agency
- Experience selling to large enterprises ($1B+ in Revenue) and/or Cloud and Service Providers
- Proven track record of selling deals larger than $1M in ACV
- Proven track record of team successes
- Pipe-generation focused - Experience and success landing new logos and new expansions within accounts
- Process Oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Project/Program Management skills
- Metric based, discipline in driving sales methodology
- First Principles on Problem Solving
- Ability to research and summarize, identify value propositions

Dotmatics utilises a national market-based approach to base pay benchmarking and pay band development. The candidate's final starting pay is based on job-related skills, experience, job specific qualifications & location. In addition to base salary, Dotmatics has implemented a total rewards strategy, which is the combination of compensation, benefits and recognition.
