We need an English-fluent Senior Data Engineer (Databricks), based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, who embraces changes while maintaining strong attention to detail. An interested and proactive person, who's constantly learning and improving their skills.

Are you the one we are looking for?

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines in Databricks.
• Build and maintain Delta Lakehouse architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable advanced analytics and ML use cases in Databricks.
• Establish and enforce best practices for Databricks development, performance, and security.
• Migrate and modernize existing pipelines and data platforms into Databricks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to stakeholders on Databricks capabilities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering focused on Databricks.
• Strong expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or Scala.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and their data services.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL frameworks, and distributed computing.
• Excellent English communication skills (C1+), comfortable working with US-based clients.

It´S A Plus:

• Experience with streaming pipelines (Structured Streaming, Kafka) in Databricks.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows in Databricks.
• Background in financial services, private equity, or enterprise-scale data environments

Compensation:

• The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $5,000 - $6,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
• This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
• The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
