Job Summary

Detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst cum System Tester. The ideal has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and hands-on experience in system or user acceptance testing (UAT).

Responsibilities & Duties

Business Analysis:

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Assist in developing business process models, user stories, and use cases.
• Support project planning and implementation by contributing to scope definition and impact analysis.
• Facilitate meetings between business users and technical teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in solution design discussions to ensure business needs are met.

System Testing:

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements.
• Conduct system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure software meets business and functional requirements.
• Document and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Work closely with developers to resolve issues and verify fixes.
• Ensure thorough documentation of test results and support audit and compliance reviews.
• Contribute to regression testing and quality assurance in agile or iterative development cycles.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis and/or software/system testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and testing processes.
• Experience writing business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications, and test cases.
• Proficient in using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and testing software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
