Job Description:
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Senior Cloud Engineer is to play a critical role in the design, implementation, optimization, and governance of our Azure cloud infrastructure. This is not just a traditional system administration role—this position requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of cloud economics, architecture, and operations.
This role will be responsible for managing complex Azure environments, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-efficiency. This role will lead efforts to optimize cloud spend through intelligent use of Azure Reservations, storage tiering, and resource right-sizing. This role will have a deep understanding of Azure subscription models, billing scopes, management groups, and role-based access control (RBAC). The role will also involve defining and enforcing governance policies, supporting hybrid workloads, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Finance.
This position demands a hands-on expert who can troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Windows and Linux systems, manage Azure networking and storage, and support containerized workloads. At the same time, expected to contribute to the broader cloud strategy—advising on architecture, guiding cloud adoption, and helping the organization get the most value from its Azure investment.
The position demands someone who is highly technically competent, detail oriented, and driven to stay current with evolving technologies.
