Location: This role operates on a hybrid-onsite basis in our Carmel, Indiana

Office.

We’Re Looking For:

The Contracts Supervisor is responsible to assist the Contracts Manager in running the day-to-day duties of the Contracts Department.  The Contracts Supervisor is responsible for implementing, and monitoring, quality control for each function of the contract approval process.  In the absence of the Contract Manager, each member of the Contract Department will report to the Contracts Supervisor.    

You Will:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of AFC policies, processes and procedures related to processing of contracts and securing collateral.
  • Assist the Contract Specialist staff in their growth and thorough understanding of policies and procedures pertaining to their related functions.
  • Process new applications, line modifications, status changes, and annual reviews timely.
  • Contact state agencies and takes other actions necessary to collect or verify information required to process contracts.
  • Analyze and verify documents for contractual compliance to the guidelines.  Determine the validity of the information received.
  • Coordinate collateral security process with all parties (i.e. attorneys, branch managers, etc.)
  • Understand the laws and codes applicable to filing UCC financing statements or PPSA liens and PMSI notifications.
  • In the absence of a Contract Specialist process the required work items.  If there are heavy work loads, step in and help.
  • Maintain, update, and create dealer contract terms and published books.
  • Serve as a resource for Ironclad for field employees as well as the Contract Specialists 
  • Review and approve the set up of accounts on ACH Auto.  Follow up as necessary for any corrections needed
  • Manage the Contract Services shared email box.  Distribute emails as necessary for the Contract  Specialists to process.  
  • Use spreadsheet and other automated or manual processes to compile required documentation and reports.
  • Provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to both internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must Have’S:

  • Prior work experience in the financial services industry and/or with the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and/or loan origination, mortgage closing or experience in securitization is preferred.
  • Previous experience in managing teams both in person and remotely.
  • Familiarity with concepts, procedures and processes typically used in automotive and financial services industries. 
  • Good Organizational Skills.

  • Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Ability and flexibility to perform varied tasks with professional judgment and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
  • Motor vehicle operator (required).

Who You Will Work With:

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will work closely alongside the Contract Specialists. You will interact with the AFC branch managers and employees, UCC team, and others across the AFC organization.
