The Position

Quality Control (QC) Digital Backbone is a new section within the Quality Control Basel Kaiseraugst organization comprising approximately 30 employees, organized in 2 teams and subject matter experts. This unit focuses on Master Data Management, Application Support as well as BPM ( Business process Manager) /BPO (Business Process Owner) tasks within the digital QC systems. 

The Opportunity

As a QC E2E Digital Expert (Application Support)  you are a member of the Application Support team and will be responsible for the support of all digital systems in the Quality Control Department Basel / Kaiseraugst (e.g. NEXTLab, LabX, EMPOWER and others) which is crucial to ensure compliance of our products.

Your other main tasks and responsibilities:

• Operational support for NEXTLAB, LabX and EMPOWER including user-management, master data management, incident management, documentation, training and reporting
• Operational support for all local laboratory systems within Commercial QC Basel/Kaiseraugst including user-management, incident management, documentation and reporting 
• Advisory function based on specific system and process expertise (SME activities)
• Harmonisation of local master data between Basel, Kaiseraugst and global interfaces
• Drive improvements with regards to the local lab systems
• Ensuring a good flow of information within and outside your own organizational area.
• Development, implementation and execution of QC strategies and goals with local as well as global partners
• Represent the area in audits and inspections; Ensure procedures and documentation are regulatory compliant and inspection ready.

• Experience & Education: You have a degree in Life Sciences and at least 3 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical quality assurance or quality control.
• Regulatory Knowledge: You possess extensive expertise in cGMP, a deep understanding of local and international GMP regulations, and are familiar with LPS methodology.
• Work Style & Problem-Solving: You are an independent, results-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to evaluate complex issues and make decisions, focusing on continuous improvement.
• Interpersonal Skills: You are an integrative person with strong communication skills, capable of building effective, trust-based relationships with diverse partners.
• Language & IT Skills: You are fluent in either German or English, with preferable experience in IT systems within the pharmaceutical industry.
