As a Sr. Production Technician you will have a key responsibility in supporting manufacturing strip conversion/vialing operations.  You will set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product.  You will work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks.  You will check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances.  You will also function as a subject matter expert in area of knowledge.  You will develop and own best practices for area of knowledge.  You will participate in the development and/or delivery of training for other employees on equipment and/or procedures.  You will identify continuous improvement opportunities.

You will provide support to an area, person, or program. You will also interface with internal customers.   You perform semi-routine support duties of a specialized nature within an assigned area.  You should possess a specialized knowledge of particular area, system, or equipment.  You will apply intermediate to advanced skills to the position or specialization.  Generally, you are assigned more complex and difficult assignments and will work with greater discretion and latitude.  You may also assist lower level staff by providing advice, guidance and training.

You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

  1. Set up and operate equipment and processes in accordance with standard operating procedures and pilot protocols.
  2. Inspect product for quality and adherence to specifications.
  3. Completes and ensures accuracy of all process orders and associated required documentation, records and metrics.
  4. Participate in the development and review of documentation changes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  5. Prepare work centers for appropriate line clearance procedure and conducts regular cleaning in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  6. Trains other employees as needed.
  7. Participates in process improvement teams and helps implement improvements.
  8. Acts as liaison with engineering staff on process improvement and development and communicates back to production team.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 1 year experience in operations or manufacturing
  • Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001
  • Basic computer skills with competency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Detail Oriented

Preferred:

  • Specialized training or certification in particular area, system or equipment
  • 2 years of experience in operations or manufacturing
  • Experience in regulated work environment
  • Ability to engage, lead and communicate in written and verbal format
  • Thorough understanding of appropriate safety, health, and environmental procedures
  • ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution (MES) Systems
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology
