Join our team! As an Electrical Engineer II within our Mission Systems Integration directorate, you'll play a vital role in advancing our ground-based air defense systems and CUAS technologies. You will use your skills and expertise to design, develop, test, and improve electrical components and systems that are critical to our defense solutions.
Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing electrical systems and subsystems, conducting detailed analyses and simulations, and performing rigorous testing to ensure performance and reliability. You will work closely with other engineering disciplines, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and systems engineers, to integrate electrical components seamlessly into broader system architectures.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including fielded systems, new developmental contracts, and internal research and development initiatives. This variety ensures that your work will be dynamic and engaging, allowing you to contribute to both the immediate needs and future advancements of our defense systems.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)
- Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
- Understanding of Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
- Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture
- Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $82,039.23 - $112,803.95. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
