Infrastructure Engineering Manager - HIH - Evernorth

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Center Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in network management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of NOC engineers. NOC Manager responsibilities include managing staff, developing, and implementing processes, and ensuring compliance with performance standards and security requirements.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the NOC team to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of our network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and identify potential issues, proactively implementing solutions to prevent service disruptions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for the NOC team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Engineering, and Security, to resolve complex network issues and optimize network performance.
• Providing regular reports on network performance, incidents, and other key metrics to management.
• Analyzing network performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to optimize network performance and availability.
• Ability to handle the major outage calls and provide regular updates to management.

Qualifications:

Education:

• College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience. 

Experience:

• Typically requires 11-13 years of experience in network operations, with at least 5 years in a team lead role.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

• Strong Organizational Skills.

• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies (protocols, hardware, software), security principles, and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with the following technologies – Cisco networking (SDWAN, LAN, WLAN).
• Familiarity with Cisco ACI, F5 Load balancers, Palo Alto, Zscaler.
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools/technologies – Wireshark, tcp-dump, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. 

• Strong Interpersonal Skills.

• Strong time and project management skills. 
• Familiarity with the following technologies – Cisco networking (SDWAN, LAN, WLAN)
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools/technologies – Wireshark, tcp-dump, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow.
