Overview:

• Department: Operations Control Center
• Entity: Thai AirAsia X
• Status: Full-time
• YOUR ROLE AS AN ASSISTANT FLIGHT DISPATCHER

This role supports the Flight Dispatch team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of flights by assisting with flight planning, monitoring flight progress, and providing operational information to flight crews and other relevant departments. The Assistant Flight Dispatcher will work under the supervision of a licensed Flight Dispatcher and contribute to the smooth execution of the daily flight schedule.

What You’Ll Champion:

• Assisting with Flight Planning: Gather and prepare data for flight plans, including weather information, aeronautical notices, airport information, and aircraft performance data, under the guidance of a Flight Dispatcher.
• Monitoring Flight Progress: Track the progress of flights, noting any deviations from the planned route or schedule, and communicating relevant information to the Flight Dispatcher and other operational stakeholders.
• Providing Operational Information: Assist in disseminating operational information, such as flight updates, delays, and diversions, to flight crews, ground staff, and other departments as directed.
• Supporting Communication and Coordination: Assist with communication between flight crews, air traffic control, and company operations, relaying messages and coordinating operational requirements as instructed.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in air traffic management, airport management, or an aviation-related field
• At least 1 year of experience in flight operations would be an advantage
• Knowledge of TAF/META, and NOTAMS is a must
• Excellent command of conversational and written English
• Proficient in using G-suite, MS Office, and Smart gadget devices
• Good personality, detail-oriented, and works well under pressure.
• Strong collaborator and team player in high-pressure environments.
• Able to work as a shift rotation
